Heater

The electric carbon dioxide heater is designed for different international power requirements and operates only on 230V, 60Hz, single-phase AC power. It is not suitable for outdoor use and must be protected from moisture and harsh weather conditions. Always use a 3-wire grounded extension cord and socket for safe operation.

 The heater is designed to prevent overheating and protect the regulator during operation. Its enclosed heating element and thermostatic control help maintain safe performance, especially during high carbon dioxide withdrawal rates that may otherwise cause gas reliquification or liquid CO₂ withdrawal before entering the regulator unit.
 

For proper installation, the CO₂ heater must be placed between the cylinder valve and regulator, with fiber washers used on both CGA 320 connections. It is intended only for carbon dioxide gas withdrawal cylinders and must not be used with liquid carbon dioxide withdrawal cylinders.

The thermostatically controlled CO₂ heater is an economical solution designed to prevent regulator freeze-up during operation. It helps extend the life of the regulator and flow meter while reducing the risk of weld porosity caused by the loss of shielding gas due to frozen regulators. The unit is easy to install and fits conveniently between the CO₂ cylinder valve and the flow meter for efficient and reliable performance.
